New Seasons: Last Day of Summer

Last Day of Summer
The news said that today September 22, 2010 is the last day of summer. The changing of the seasons can be a beautiful thing. Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the crisp weather that is usually not too hot.. not to cold, the leaves on the trees changing to brilliant colors, the hot soups, the Thanks Giving Holiday, and in a little while the crunch of leaves underfoot. I'll miss the bright sunshine, the deep greens, my neighbors pretty flowers (yeah I have some but this year it looked more like a weed garden), the long days, my father's birds (some will stay but many will go south) and some really wonderful memories that this summer has brought. God has changing seasons for our life and the Body of Christ too. Each new season has things that we can get excited about and enjoy and embrace. Change isn't always easy...but thank God we know the master architect. He makes each season beautiful.
